15 photos of the stunning Co. Clare landscape that's welcoming Star Wars this week
FRESH FROM THEIR sojourn to Malin Head, the Star Wars gang have landed in Loop Head, Co. Clare for a few days of filming.
It has been reported that filming will take place in Loop Head until tomorrow at which point the production will move to Ceann Sibeal, Co. Kerry.
So what views does Loop Head have to offer?
Much like Skellig Michael and Malin Head, it’s pretty windswept…
But totally stunning…
Look how fresh the air looks!
This is not a painting
Nor is this
Still not a painting
Loop Head is just *that* beautiful and otherworldly
You might want to wear a poncho when you’re down there…
To protect from the splash.
Did we mention it’s home to loads of dolphins and seals?
Fungi, eat your heart out.
And it’s home to a pretty nifty lighthouse
Look at it go!
There’s plenty of history around…
The cherry on top? It’s home to the “nearest bar to New York”
Lest any of the Star Wars gang want to swim over à la Michael Fassbender in that Guinness ad.
Road trip to the Banner, anyone?
